Most mosques are operational in less than an hour. You create your organization, import your members from a CSV or Excel file, configure your prayer times and calculation method, and you can publish your first event immediately. We offer free assisted setup for beta participants.
Ummah supports major calculation methods (ISNA, Mecca, Egypt, Muslim World League, Karachi, and more) and angle conventions. You choose your method during setup, and times are calculated automatically based on your geographic coordinates. You can also enter times manually if your mosque follows a local calendar or has specific adjustments.
Yes. The Courses Module includes Quran memorization tracking. Teachers mark which juz, surah, or ayah each student has memorized and reviewed. Parents can see their children's progress online. Progress reports show the whole class at a glance.
During Ramadan, special features activate: iftar RSVPs, taraweeh scheduling, i'tikaf registration, zakat al-fitr collection, and Laylat al-Qadr programs. Prayer times automatically adjust for Ramadan schedule. You can start preparing your Ramadan setup weeks in advance.
Yes. Members can log in to update their contact details, manage their family members, adjust communication preferences, and view their donation history. You control what they can edit. This dramatically reduces the administrative burden on your team.
Ummah does not apply any interest on transactions. The platform only handles donations (zakat, sadaqa, free gifts) and registration fees for courses or events. There is no credit or interest-bearing loan mechanism in the system. All funds go directly to your mosque's account.
Absolutely. Ummah is designed for all Islamic organizations: mosques, Islamic centers, cultural associations, study circles, Quranic schools, and Muslim student associations. The vocabulary and modules adapt to your specific context.
All data is hosted in Europe, with GDPR-compliant providers. Your community data is never resold or shared. You remain the owner of your data and can export it at any time, in full. When you leave, we delete everything permanently.
Your data is yours. You can export everything at any time in standard formats. If we ever shut down (we don't plan to!), we commit to giving at least 90 days notice and ensuring every mosque can retrieve their complete data. No lock-in, ever.
The web application is fully responsive and works beautifully on phones and tablets. A dedicated mobile app for iOS and Android is on our roadmap, insha'Allah, with push notifications for prayer times and volunteer reminders.
